Pilgram
WRONG
There are two branches of Judiastic thinking. One if the PHARASEES, you know, the group that had Jesus Crusified! They said ONLY the wrtten scrolls counted.
The other branch said the verbal stories also counted.
Do YOU subscribe to the PHARASEES!
You take the side of THOSE who asked Pialate to KILL JESUS!
Most of the modern Bible is the one based on Constaintine's assembly of scholars or King James collection of scholars.
How many bibles have
Infancy 1
Infancy 2
Romans 2
Romans 3
Come on, speak up!
The average bible has
MYSTERY BABYLON
emphesised, as either all caps or underlines
The GREEK Codex has NO object for this, hence the emphesis was created by the translator!
Read the original Greek!
It's
mistery Babylon
not
MISTERY BABYLON
That is a CONTRADICTION!
Like it or not

The Bible is the book of books. For example, it tells about history, science, relationship, finance etc. If you venture to read the bible from an intellectual view point you wouldn't be able to understand it, and it will appear controversial. This book is based upon faith. The Bible might have many versions, but it still maintain a basic team.

The bible is a collection of books written by different people over a span of time. Of course it will have contradictions. My favorite one is "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" right along with the whole thing about killing being wrong and love thy neighbor so what if your neighbor is a witch? Kill her and you sin, let her live and you sin! Sad moral battle for the devout Christian! Also, there are not quite exact translations so the word that was in place of "witch" initially meant something more along the lines of someone who poisons and a better translation would be "thou shalt not suffer a drug dealer to live", which I'm more in favor of myself.
BTW, don't kill anyone, especially us witches!

The bible was written by man, translated many times and "modernized". Language and word meanings have changed so much and when you take text from one language to another, it often changes it.
Genesis 1 (king James version)
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
........................................................
Same text translated from English to Chinese and back to English
Has created the heaven and the Earth in beginning God. And the Earth is does not have the form, with crevice; And darkness is in the face depth. And God's spirit moved in the water face. And God said that, lets in the that side is the light: And has the light. And God looked at the light, then it is good: And God divided the light from to be dark.
..........................................
Chinese to English to Russian and back to English
Paradise is created and the earth in beginning the god. And the earth does not have a form, with crevice; And the darkness is located in the depth of side. And the spirit of god moved to the side of water. And god said that, prevents in that side will be the light: And has light. And god looked to light, after this it is good: And god shared light from in order to be temn.
................................................................
You can see how it begins to change.
Also, the bible was written over a huge span of years as culture and customs were changing and each gospel reflected the culture of the times.

Sorry, you've been poorly taught.
The Hebrew scriptures are the same today as they were 300 years before Christ.
The New Testament is the same as well. The Alexandrian manuscript is the only one that is different, there's only 3 or 4 copies of it, and they were all found in the same place . . . a trash can in Egypt. That's where they should have stayed.
Please update your records.

ahmad,
Heh. The reason why you ask is the genius of God. He doesn't want some people. I guess that you are one of them. You say there are contadictions, and you don't have the Spirit to guide you, you are cursed. It's not my problem. You decided to bear witness against Jesus Christ. Boy are you ever wrong!
But don't mind me! Enjoy your life. It is YOUR life after all. Live it to it's fullest. Have fun. See ya later. 'Bye.
