Anyone know of a good list that separates what each of the christian religions believe in that keep them as separate religions? (ie. what's different from catholicism, baptists, evangelicals, lutherans, methodists, presbyterians, angelican, protestants (although I think protestants are all the christianities that are non-catholic?), and any others I may have missed.

What would be great is if there was like, and excel spreadsheet breaking it all down. Can anyone help with this?

Clusium, I don't understand quite what you're attempting to get at? but it's primarily because I was in a discussion about the numerous different types of christianity with a fellow Christian...so that's why :)

Not really, it's an amazing list and I've been doing a series on it for two years in an on-line magazine.

Apostilc Pentacostals are into talking in tounges, while the Roman Catholics are purging the demons out of people who do that!

Some beleive "once saved always saved"

Some believe you "fall from grace" (which is the oppoisite)

Some believe in baptism around birth them others say you do it by free will when you are of age

Some believe saturday is the sabbath, most believe in Sunday

Greeks and Russians have a different day for Easter than Catholics and Protestants

Seventh Day adventists don't beleive in a literal hell, other religions do

Catholics follow the edicts (interpretations) of one man, the Pope

Protestants read the bible and make up their own mind, hence all the confusion

It's a mess and the best you can do is pick one that is closest to your own feelings or pick none and follow your own inner self.

No one says you have to go to Church to be with God and Jesus!

In fact, God says, don't follow FALSE PROPHETS, cause it could keep your out of the book of life!

Anyone from Billy Graham to Pat Robertson could be a false prophet!

The fact is, a Methodist Church in Dallas Texas can be completely different from one in Chicago or Albany NY!

With there being so many denominations that would be a very big job. I suggest you sit and write all the denominations and then do a little research on all for a basic understanding. Others you did not mention are 7 day Adventist, Mormon, Amish, Southern Baptists, Pentecostal, Church of Christ Scientist, Mennonites, Quaker, Jehovah's Witness, and the list goes on and on. Have fun!!!

Good idea. There must be. I'm going to waste a good portion of my day looking for one. That is not too biased. Religious tolerance must have one.

wow, two thumbs down for saying I was going to look. Try these links, no spread sheet, but some starting links to look at differences.

or just listen to fireball as I'm sure you can be saved by a closed minded 13 year old.

he is a long list from Wiki. I had no idea there were so many.

Wonder which one is right...

The wiki link at least addresses a large list. I'm really sorry you feel that is a "stupid" answer.

Why only a list that separates Christian religions? Why not one which separates Muslim religions, Buddhist religions, Hindu religions, & Confucian religions, as well?

There is only one Christian faith, one Church. But there are many denominations. The main differences revolve around justification, ordinances, and government. A good web sight to start with is:
