My husband has a rare blood disorder and is on Medicare through Social security and we don't have alot of money but because of his illness it cost alot for suppliment insurance. Does anyone know how we can get some extra insurance that won't kill us we already lost our home because we spent so much on insurance and most places won't even cover this. Please only serious reply.

First off, you mention that your husband is on "MediCare" = this is an important fact, and one that excludes you from purchasing a traditional health plan. You are limited to two types:
1. Medicare Supplemental plan (as medicare will from now on be your primary, they will handle all claims- a supplemental will handle excess charges -DEPENDING ON POLICY- by medicare in what is referred to as "cross-over".
2. HMO Assignment- depending on where you live in America, a HMO plan may or may not be available.

I would suggest you call a "Medicare Health Insurance agency" in your area, who will be able to discuss your options with you, if you are in Southern California I can help you.

You have an option of looking into health care insurance providers online and comparing plans and rates to see if there may be something more reasonable that you and your husband can more easily afford.

You want to make sure you understand the coverages offered, coverage limits, deductibles, co-pays, and especially any exclusions for any Pre-existing conditions. Some plans may offer pre-existing conditions coverage - but they may be more expensive.

I recommend the two top-rated health insurance quote providers:

1) InsureMe - they give you the five best health insurance quotes from top-rated health insurers nationwide. To Request a free, no obligation quote, Go to - http://www.insureme.com/landing.aspx?Refby=613598&Type=health

2) eHealthinsurance.com offers you side-by-side quote comparisons from a large network of health insurers across the country.

I hope that helps! Take care and best of luck!

properly, you purchase it off the cyber web, after which you get scammed. See, you get what you pay for, with coverage. you probable % to pay $25 a month or so, to get $3 hundred a month or so out. it is the desirable occasion, of how people get scammed. somebody will touch you, and sell you a "decrease cost plan" (aka, a catalogue, that doesn't pay something out), or sell you a bogus coverage. You get what you pay for, with coverage. and because you're already being dealt with for some thing, reckoning on what that's, it is conceivable no inner maximum insurer will conceal that, besides. basically such as you do no longer % to return over to my abode in Houston, and paint the entire project for $10, coverage companies won't be able to verify in people the place they be responsive to they are going to could pay out way better than they soak up. They already pay out in claims, $.ninety 9 for each $a million in top rate, no longer protecting stuff it is already incorrect. they had go out of company.

There are several sites where you can get competitive quotes from several companies. No cost, no obligation.

http://necessaryvirtues.com/recommends/insureme-health

http://necessaryvirtues.com/recommends/ehealth

You might also try looking in your local Yellow Pages for independent health insurance agents. They represent several companies and can tell you what some of your options are.

Good luck!

No such thing as inexpensive health insurance.

The least expensive way is to get it through your employer.

You might look into HSA accounts. If you currently have insurance then they generally won't exclude pre-existing conditions. This is a high deductible plan.
