injuries will be first protocol, over a report... always.
you can get a report filed later,,, always.
depending on your local laws,,,, you have so much time to gain a police report/file..... call them to find out,,,,, even under certain circumstances,,, im sure you can get an extension due to a number of legal reasons,,, including injuries.

The important thing is if you got his insurance information. You can try to file a counter report with the closest police station. Most of the time, if you got his insurance information, they'll conduct their own investigation anyways. The police report is just another person's opinion of what happened. They didn't even witness the accident. If there was an independent witness, that would matter more.
You may want to call an attorney to help you out.
Hope you feel better.

Any accident involving injury should be reported to the police, ideally at the time but I would call your local police service & tell them the situation. Hopefully they can still take a report. Just tell them where it happened etc. Did you at least get the other driver's license & insurance information (or at least license plate to track him down)?...
Being involved in an accident is upsetting & you're not always thinking clearly but at least you know for next time...
If you're in an accident with minor damage (less than $1000 worth of damage) it's probably going to be non-reportable. $1000 or more worth of damage & you can get a police report. If the cars are not driveable or if someone is injured, police should attend at the time of the accident.
Take care. Hope you're feeling better.

I work at a dispatch center for Police, Sheriff, and Highway Patrol. If you have already left the scene of the accident, it is not reportable. You can pick up whats called a Blue Form. You basically do your own report and it gives you all of the directions on filling it out and mailing it in. In the future, NEVER leave an accident with out calling it in. Injuries or no injuries. You will be able to file on your insurance but not his. It's his word against yours and you know he will not admit to it. According to the police, it never happened. Sorry.

The absolutely free reverse vin check sites generally provide fake information. To get real information, money will have to be paid. The free searches provide fake information so they can get your email address to send spam.
Stay away from shady reverse vin check sites, most likely you won't get any information after you make the payment. Not to mention you won't get a report and you won't get an answer if you try to call for a refund. Stick with a reputable reverse vin check site like http://www.reversevincheck.net that has been around since 1995.

No, but it doesn't hurt to report it to the cops. Also, did you get his/her plates? Drivers License? Make? Model? That info is important, because if you suffer back problems for the rest of your life from the wreck it will cost lots of $$$$.
