Whenever I do any kind of cardio, expecially the elliptical trainer, my toes and feet go numb and hurt. I have tried several different shoes (wide, tight, running, cross-trainers) and nothing seems to help. Does this happen to anyone else, and/or does anyone know why this is happening? I haven't gone to my doc, but I will as it is really starting to concern me.

It is common, as Blueberry noted. Stop every ten minutes and stretch your feet, or reverse movement so force is on a different parts of your feet.

Yes this happens to me, especially on the elliptical as well. I avoid the elipptical pretty much and stick to running or biking. I have less problems with these things. I think it may have to do with exerting force on a certain part of your feet when you use the ellliptical. I get this with running too every once in awhile but its not nearly as bad

it would desire to truly be that your footwear are to tight, or your socks even. some cases the elastic on the right of your sock can actual be too tight without you even noticing it. in case you have a different pair of socks that are lose try that first, then i'd advise getting a clean pair of footwear if that doesnt help. be constructive you ask the persons on the shoe keep for suggestion on the main suitable form on your foot shape. Mayeb your ft are in basic terms a sprint extensive and you decide on wider footwear. sturdy success

Do you have the numbness in your toes other times as well? If so it might be an indication of lower back trouble . . . if possible might be good to talk to a dr.

I have no idea, but it does sound very concerning. I would call the Dr's office right away and see if first you can speak with his nurse to see if it is something serious you should see him for and if you should make an appt. right away. Good luck!
