Try a rain coat made for dogs and booties, that's what I have to do to get one of our dogs out in the rain.

Just put them outside (pick them up and just put them on " their" spot) and wait (yes it may take some time, so be prepared) untill they understand that when they've got to go they just got to go whether it rains or not! Praise them when they finally do pee outside in the rain,(yes even when you're soaking wet too) 15 minutes after they're meal, and when they wake up, or when they've been playing, those are the times you better take em into the rain...

I had that problem with my schnauzer puppy and used news paper in a designated area untill the rain stopped and once the rain stopped I would take her outside right away as well as the paper if she used it. Eventually she realized that the rain wasn't so bad and now goes out and quickly does her business and comes right back in

My dog was exactly the same as a pup and I basically did what people are suggesting and picked her up, closed the back door and put her down! She cried at the door the first few times (I felt bad!) bad she soon realised that the quicker she did what she was out for the quicker she could get back in where its dry!
Good luck and enjoy your puppies!

my puppy does the same thing. it sounds cruel but i purposely put him out inthe rain so he gets used to it.Also take him for a walk in the rain. I make a real fuss of him and give him treat when he does go out and does his business of his own accord in the rain.
good luck

They're smart. lol
Be firm, tell them "no" and put them out. You may get wet yourself a few times but they will get the message and they will make their business quickly. I had the same problem and for years when they get to door and see rain, they turn around to go back. One by one I put them out, shut the door and tell them "go"

well if they wont go outside they r not going to EVER probably if they dont like being soaked then there just like humans cause neither do we like being soaked so just wait till it goes away (the rain) or put newspaper right at the back door so they think there nearly outside doing the bussiness

You may need to bite the bullet and go with them. We are within sight of an interstate, so we always take our dog out on a leash, just in case. If they are showing any sign that they need out, get out the raincoat.

Just pick them up and take them outside....they will get over their fear....giving into it will only make it worse. They might wine for a minute but will soon get over that....my dog was the same way I just took her out and she got over it after about 3 times of doing that.
