I THINK YOU NEED TO HAVE FAITH, BECAUSE TO HAVE FAITH IS TO BELIEVE. RELIGION IS WHAT GROUP OF PEOPLE BELONG TO, SUCH AS BAPTISTS BELIEVE IN BAPTISM AND BEING REBORN OF THAT BAPTISM, THEY HAVE FAITH THAT THEIR BAPTISM WILL SAVE THEM. THUS THAT IS THEIR RELIGION. YOU NEED NOT HAVE AN ORGANIZED RELIGION TO HAVE FAITH( A BELIEF) BUT IF YOU GO BY THE BIBLE IT SAYS TO CONGREGATE WITH OTHERS WITH THE SAME RELIGIOUS BELIEFS AS YOU (CHRISTIANS) AND JESUS WILL BE THERE. FAITH FAITH FAITH IS THE MOST IMPORTANT HAVE FAITH IN WHAT YOU DREAM FOR,FAITH FOR WHAT YOU KNOW IS TRUE, AND FAITH IN YOURSELF!!

If I had to choose between only those 2 options, I would choose faith over religion. Faith to me implies that I can have a relationship with something more than a bunch of rules and guidelines or programs, which religion tends to be. I agree with ilovemydog. Without faith, it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God. We have to have faith, but we also have to do something with that faith, and in doing so, we have faith in God, a person, rather than "religion".

Personally, I don't like the word religion. To me it means a type of belief, traditions, acts, and I think it can hinder ones relationship with the Lord.
The word says that without faith it is impossible to please Him. But faith alone is not enough. You must have a personal relationship. You must be born again. You must be filled with the Spirit. You must have a relationship with Him. People now a days like to talk the talk but not so many will walk the walk. Remember, you will always know them by their fruit. It's your lifestyle that speaks to others, not your "religion" or that you say you have "faith". Those are only words. You must live it.

I don't see it now, but I have faith one day we will be able to say religion went the way of the dinosaurs
and we embraced spirituality over belief, dogma and blind faith
which came first, the chicken or the egg...in some cases it takes faith to cling to religion
but usually spiritual people need neither and go with personal experience, nurturing and love

The answer would be Faith in the God of Abraham , Isaac and Jacob . None may come to the Father but by the Son. He is the truth the light and the way.
Believing on the Lord Jesus Christ and becoming a new creature.
Faith cometh by hearing, hearing the word of God.
