In high school I was a hostess at a pie bakery/restaurant and I always told our customers who declined pie based on the caloric-value that, in fact, they aren't calories, but taste bud counters.

I've heard those!! I choose to believe they are true. When I bake, I tell everyone that I took all the calories out and fed them to the dog :)
