Christianity ...as it is called , in a sense breeds obeisity because it encourages people to do the will of the church, in order to get to this place they call heaven. Did you ever ask a fundamentalist what they thought it would be like in heaven?... they actually think it is a place where you can have anything you desire...to stuff yourself with exotic foods, deserts, toys , gadgets...whatever...It never occurs to them that this is...GLUTTONY....they are such hypocrites , they cant see it at all

Christianity doesn't cause obesity. It may just be that because there are so many protestants, they just happen to be obese. Gluttony is a sin. We can't over come that sin or any other sin until they properly place faith in Christ and His finished works. They don't understand or know about deliverance because if they did, they would know that they have been delivered from all sins because when Christ said, "It is finished" that covered every sin, every issue, every problem. No sin should be our master. Will we ocassionally mess up? Yes, because we're carnal, sold unto sin. But Christ and His finished work is the answer to everything.

When you repress sexual urges you eat. You compensate with a more socially acceptable addiction, food.

In all fairness people down South drink sweet tea which has thirty times the sugar and everything they eat is fried. The combo of saturated fat and refined sugar is hard to beat.( even if you have Jesus as your personal trainer. ) The southern Baptists and Elvis never had a chance from the get go.

lots of the atheists right here on R&S seem to lose their faith because of the fact of common scientific incongruity with Biblical writings. knowledgeable people be responsive to that the Earth is approximately 4.5 billion years previous and that it took quite a few billion years to sort. it is patently inconsistent with the theory God created the Earth and the universe in a trifling seven days. Apologists who argue that a 'day' in God's perspective isn't inevitably an identical length as an afternoon in human perspective are seemed to be copping out--and that i think of they are. From the evaluations I incredibly have considered expressed, atheists get very wrapped up interior the scientific inconsistencies between technology and the Bible and don't get into the deeper essence of religion, it is the easy experience of love and onenes with the universe. they think of that faith is damaging and volatile--and, in many circumstances, they are honestly remarkable. yet they do no longer take the plunge forward into seeing how deeply beautiful faith could be. in case you strip away all the guy-made trappings of religion and easily immerse your self interior the middle of it, it is love, you will locate faith, and you will understand that God isn't what the clergy might make it. basically my opinion, besides. :)

I have a problem with Baptist churches having pot luck dinners. People eat until they can't eat anymore. It's no better than having people bring their own bottle and getting drunk after church, but Baptist don't see it. I go to Baptist Churches, but this is one thing I disagree with.
