9 year olds in America are at the LAST PLACE before sexual pressure, drinking, drugs, and all the stuff typically thought to be "High School" set in.
Rather than the Sweet and Sour, maybe focus on teaching her to decide for herself, understand WHY she made the choice, and understand that EVERY choice has a consequence.
If you can do that, she will have a fighting chance to get through adolescence.
