It's very hard to say no to temptation, and so easy to fall, we have a choice, a free choice to say yes or no, and it's easy to say yes, but so hard to say no, we are perverse by nature, the things that we should do we don't do and the things that we shouldn't do we do, Apostle Paul had the same problem, he said who can deliver me from this body of death? But then he goes on to say that through Jesus we have hope, because he has overcome all things, through Christ we can do all things, because He strengthens us, try to put your mind on Jesus when these thoughts come along, think about the cross and of Jesus dying there for your sins, go into a time of prayer and praise, worship Him for all that He has done for you, remember you have a choice, Satan can only work on what you give him space to work on, he can only have as much room as you give him in your life, the more you give yourself to God, and to prayer and reading His word, the less these thoughts will trouble you, give yourself to God as a living sacrifice, and let Him into your life totally, remember He is only a prayer away and He won't allow us to be tempted beyond that which we can cope with, but if we fall we have an advocate with the Father, commit yourself to Jesus and commit this problem to Him, He will help you, and deliver you, if you put your trust in Him, I will be praying for you, God bless you.

I can recommend Charles Kraft's books, such as Defeating Dark Angels (ignore the cover art, he didn't choose it), which I think is published by Servant Publications. He has a great no-nonsense section on dealing with temptations and strongholds like this.
One of the best ways to deal with it is to occupy your mind and body with other things...when the dark thoughts come to mind, get up and get busy, if you can, with something else, that requires concentration. Go outside for a walk in the fresh air, clean house, do something for somebody else.
If it's a night when you're tired and lying in bed, try listening to some uplifting music (with headphones so you don't bother anyone) or the Bible on tape or CD. Two objects can't occupy the same space...and neither can two thought patterns.
Failing all else, you can pray in tongues if you do that. That's definitely something Old Ugly dislikes.

Get married or get a girlfriend.
I'm very serious.
If you can't control your lust, then find a woman. Celebacy doesn't work for everyone. And it's better to have a wife, than go around burning with lust! And lust is a sin. Your human, just like all of us, it's natural to want to have someone, and to have sex. Just control it.
Your probably in your prime. So I can understand your feelings from a Christian perspective.
The bible approves of marriage, and has a plan for all. Pray and ask God to find the right woman for you. That's what I do.

First of all, well done for recognising the problem and facing it. If straightforward praying isn't helping, check your motives. Are you saying, 'Lord change me, but not yet?' If you have a sincere heart then He is faithful. The other thing I've learned is that fasting and prayer together is a powerful stronghold breaker. Pray first, then fast for as long you feel is necessary. And it's good to have a prayer partner, someone you respect at your church, to be accountable to. Hope this helps

If you really delivered from this because i had the same problem, you have to be born again of the water(baptize in Jesus Christ ,not in the name of the father, and of the Son,and of the Holyghost) and receive the real Holyghost Acts 2:4,i know some people may disagree but it works and 100% guaranteed to deliver you from evil thoughts

Take this advice. Firstly stop condemning yourself, stop thinking your a bad Christian, stop worrying.
You are saved through the precious blood of our Lord and Saviour. You are saved by His amazing Love and Grace. He still loves you and knows you struggle. Keep talking to him and trust that he will give you strength each day. You are a special person.
Don't think your dirty. You are a Child of the King. How can you be dirty.
Most blokes struggle, I know because I'm one of them and I'm older than you. Someone suggested you get married. That's not my advice. My advice is trust the Lord and STOP PULLING YOURSELF DOWN. Your my brother in Christ.

...lustful thoughts... are just that thoughts (not unlike any other)
the trick is to keep your mind off of them...
if you are serious with your intentions to find a working solution...
avoid situations, places, activities, or anything that you already know will trigger those thoughts, these will greatly minimize them
to go further, as if to go on the offensive instead of just being in the defensive... concentrate on things that are of God.
hangout with people who know the Lord, listen to praise/worhip music, pray/talk to God, read Scripture, watch God-centered shows... at most of your waking hours.... (while you sleep though you are on your own, unless you pray prior to sleeping)
and on top of all that, if you are of age... get married.

We all know that lust is a sin. Unfortunately, it's a human weakness. And each one of us has to deal with it in our own way. Just ask The Lord to help you. That's all you can do.

When you are tempted pray that God will give you strength. There are some really great books out there too. I recommed, "Not Even a Hint" by Joshua Harris.
