11-14 years is pretty common. This is a breed prone to obesity and garbage eating - if you can control the wieght factor, they live longer. Also, they are dogs that like to escape, get out following a scent, & get lost. I reccomend a good dog tag on a properly sized collar (being able to get 2 fingers under it is right) and having the dog microchipped (every dog warden & most vets have scanners), to ensure it gets returned if this happens.

Maybe this will help. The general rule is the larger the dog the shorter it's life span. For Great Danes thats 4 to 6 years, for small dogs like a toy poodle its longer, my wifes lasted 17 years. I would guess 8 to 10 for a beagle, hounds don't live a particularly long time.
But you have to consider the environment. Cats typically live 6 or 7 years. I have one that lives inside and is 17 years old and shows almost no signs of it's advanced age. The point is living conditions have a big impact on the life span.

Oh dang, Beagles are great. My Beagle died a few months ago, and we were all heart broken, but he lived a great life. He lived to be 16 years old. Beagles are really healthy, too, so that might be why they live so long. Only thing you gotta watch out for is their weight. They do tend to get overweight.

It depends on how they are cared for...proper diet...vaccinations...worming...etc.
Anywhere from 12 to 16 years and more.
My little beagle is 9 and still acts like a pup.
Hope this helps.

In general, the smaller the dog, the longer they live. German Shepherds are old, at 12, had a toy poodle live to 18, my bullmastiff was old at 8.
