it was Vegetarian. the idea of meat eating wasn't even thought up, adam and eve were friends of all of Gods creatures, and after the first Sin, the animals feared them. only until Genesis, God actually gives 'permission' to Noah (and his descendants) to consume animal flesh. but He says this is not without great suffering for all creatures: meat-eating largely appears to be a divine concession to human weakness and sin, with penalties — likely including decreased life expectancy (see Gen. 6:3). afterthat... people stopped living 700-900 years old.
well, no duh. hopefully, people will realise that it is a barbaric way to live. And I'm not even christian, just study religions, (although I do believe in being spiritual and God) and I am a vegetarian. even the bible says Vegetarianism will be brought back again, (because it WAS intended for us to be vegetarian, fruitarian, what have you.) some Biblical prophecy says that in a new Messianic age, there will be universal vegetarianism, even among normally carnivorous animals.

Actually, you can sustain yourself very well without meat, although historically speaking, they would not have had the knowledge we have today.
It's hard to say, though, because we always talk about the first humans as being scavanger/ gatherers and then hunter/ gatherers. So we see it is possible to survive both ways. While a good balance of healthy meat and vegetables is always optimal, soy is an excellent replacement for the 9 essential of the 20 or so amino acids that our body cannot produce on its own.

Would have to be Non vegetarian as the Human body cannot sustain itself properly on a pure veg diet as you do need some of the essential vitamins found naturally in meat. I also believe that some of our teeth are designed to chem and masticate meat

From an Anthropological standpoint, people were first scavengers/gatherers - not hunters & gatherers - that was later when they actually came up with the tools to hunt... so they were mainly vegetarian... unless they might have eaten meat leftovers from animals who left a carcass behind...

Historically, I believe the first recorded food eaten was the apple. But if you want to know as an everyday answer...after having two kids....their first foods are usually grains and then veggies. Meats come last because they're the hardest on the digestive system.
