Well to be honest I have not given it much thought since I live in FL, here we have summer, still summer, not winter, summer again... and would not live anywhere else.
However I did grow up in New England, and I love the beauty of the Autumn leaves covering the mountain in a rainbow of color. Then to be sitting by a roaring fire in gramma's house in the country, and see the same lovely mountains covered white a blanket of snow.
each time of year bring new things to ones life, each in a differ ant way, with the start of school, and homeschooling on the list again I find it a time to organize and look over thing again. Is every thing in the right place...

Autumn makes me wistful for verdancy and lushness; makes me realize that it's dying--and that everything, everywhere on this earth, eventually will; makes me hope for rebirth; yet also sets in me anticipation of the barren season, which, though it is harsher, brings with it its own delight and beauty.
There is an ineffable quality to my feelings when autumn arrives. It does make me ponder the cycle of birth, life, death, rebirth. It causes me to consider how the temporal world is a reflection of eternity. I get a nostalgia for something that isn't even gone yet--this stirring in my soul that I wish for something to stay although I look forward to its passing.
All very hard to describe, but autumn does awaken my senses and speaks to my spirit like no other season.
Sorry to be vague. It's a good question, and I know there probably is a better way to answer--but I just can't seem to express myself fully.

So many events this week as Autumn begins... the Solstice, reminding us that all things balance out eventually, as the moon and sun get equal play. Ramadan, fasting, remembering those who have less, urging a right relationship with Allah and one another. Rosh Hashanah, another time of reflection, preparation for the new year, renewing relationships with G* and one another... the Christians? already thinking about a Baby on the way in December.... nurturing hope for the end of winter. Yes, I do like this week, preparing for Autumn, strengthen us for winter, reminding us, it is just one season of many to come.

Autumn is by far my favorite season of the year for many reasons, which I won't list here due to their sheer number.
Some have said that a picture is worth a 1000 words, so I have to say that my current desktop picture is the effect Autumn has on my soul.
You have it too if you have a Windows pc.
It's simply called "Autumn" and is where the desktop themes on your pc are located.

IT has absolutely no effect on my soul since souls do not exist. The soul is what we mistake our finite consciousness as. We are incapable of imagining what nothingness is since our consciousness is all we know. We cannot experience nothingness while we are alive so we imagine that our consciousness exists independently of our bodies... this is the idea of the soul, and it is false.
I do like autumn however. As a photographer i find it's the best time to shoot. Lots of color to work with and great weather to be out and about in. It's a happy time, and the last chance to enjoy the outdoors with any frequency before the cold shuts us in.

Autumn has a sombering affect on me. Different things from the season bring me back to the lowest point in my life many years ago. And remind me why I chose to turn to God in the first place. I know it sounds like it depress' me but realy it dosnt. It reminds me of what Jesus has brought me out of and I am so thankful for it.

I've heard that generally in Autumn that people's seratonin levels fall. I used to get bummed out in the fall. But this year I'm so ready. It's been a long hot summer.

Too be honest absolutley none, to mee all the seasons are the same in every way except the weather and a few holidays e.g. Christmas, birthday. But except that, nothing at all! they all feel exactly the same, i just go to school everyday play football every now and again and go and meet my girlfriend, every season is the same!

Autumn. Change. The fall. The beauty. The coolness of fresh air.
Halloween.....good times, bittersweet memories. I always look foward to the fall and always look back.
Death, alas! Spring is rebirth!
