I went to Maui last year and spent $400 on a flight. This year I am goint to Kuaui and the avergae flight is like $850. We are flying the same time of year as last year. Why is the flight to Kuaui so much more? Thanks!

Fly into Honolulu. Honolulu to Maui or Honolulu to Kauai flights are really low right now. check out Go Airlines ($39 one way, per person). To compete hawaiian air and aloha air are also offering low flights too. It's an extra stop over but you can stay in Honolulu, which can be fun, if you can spend a day or two visiting sites and doing stuff that you can only do in Honolulu.

Did you get this years prices to Maui? You may be surprised to see that they have gone up as well. Aviation fuel is even more expensive than the gas you put in your car and you know how much gas prices have risen this past year

well it cost my son's and i 1600 just to get here one way! (we moved to honolulu) i heard that tickets went up alot this year due to gas prices for one and airlines have to make up for the loss of people that arent using their services
