A Muslim is someone whom submits to the will of God.
Don't get caught up in the language. But Muslims believe that
the revelation of the generations were concluded with the Quran.
We believe Islam is the only religion name revealed in scripture thus Christianity and Judaism's proper name is Islam. But the different names are needed to describe which revelation they believe in. We believe that the Christian and Jewish religion are legitimate, but their names were added by the believers in the group and not delivered by Almighty God. But This Islam, or submission of God, was completed by Prophet Muhammad and
it started with Abraham and his descendants.

Abraham. Islam is about getting back to sole worship and devotion and submittion of God, not Jesus as God or the Trinity or even Muhammed who knew he was only human and could make mistakes like other humans. So in the most simple form of a true believer and submitter to God it was Abraham, but in the sense of the follower of the Final Testament, the Qur'an, then Muhammed.
