Well... that is a hard one. I personally work a 1/2 day on Fridays due to working longer days Mon-Thurs. I have often thought about changing my work hours... but then realize what all I get done when the kids are not home on Friday.... for instance I clean house, do laundry, wash floors, go grocery shopping. Those things I would have to do when the kids are home... I prefer to do them when they are not home because then I get them done faster and then I have more time to actually be with them.

Take the 8:30-3 shift. It is SOOO important to be home when your kids get home from school. The hours between 3 and 6 are when most kids get into trouble.

I like to get the work week over quickly and have an extra day off but it is nice to see more of your kids. I would stay on the schedule your on now so that if they have a friday off, you can spend the whole day with them if you want.

It depends really. Personally i would change to the 8.30 til 3 as then you would get to spend every afternoon and early eve with them rather than working/ commuting from work. Plus if you drive its generally quicker to get home earlier iin the day rather than travelling in rush hour.
Maybe you could take the odd day off during the holidays to spend with them but you'd still get every afternoon with them?!

That's a tough one. It's really between you and your kids and their schedule. I think It would be great to have the three day weekend every week. Also, if your current schedule lets you be off when they are off, that is something to consider. Child care is expensive!

I think it would be best to keep your current schedule. It seems you have the time for the kids right now and maybe that is what is best after they leave home then you may be able to change your schedule to fit your needs.Good Luck.

hmm tough one.. i think i would stay with the 4 day week..that way you get the 5th day to do the house work while the kids are at school..then you have all weekend with them rather than doing housework over the weekend and not being able to spend all weekend with them
