The earlier suggestion of approaching a the school counsellor is very wise indeed. All this talk of mental health is unecessary at this time. What is certain is that if you keep these experiences to yourself you are not being true to yourself because you will be altering yourself to fit with societies concept of what it is to be "normal". People who see or hear things are not necessarilly "insane" and the spirits are not necessarilly real too. I hope this makes sense. You may be a child but you are clearly not "thick". If a counsellor replies to your question then speak to them as they should be able to assist and guide in a less panicky way.

Oh sweetheart, what you are saying is very upsetting ! I'm a mother, and I would WANT to know if my child is terrified and cannot understand what is happening to him! PLEASE PLEASE tell your parents ! They know you ( we don't ) they love you..( we ONLY care) , so surely they would be your best bet !
They won't think you're crazy and drag you kicking and screaming to a doctor, you MUST trust them to do what's right for you !
I am really upset to think that a child, you, my own..cannot talk to their parents about something that is clearly effecting you in such a horrible way .
I can't say that there are no spirits, no one knows that for sure do they ? However, whatever it is, you're seeing something that is stopping you from being a happy, carefree child and you deserve to be happy and carefree ! You only get to be a child once, don't spoil it for yourself ! I am pleading with you to tell your parents, I honestly believe that they will pleasantly surprise you by their actions, and you will get the comfort and reassurance you so desperately need ! They will find the right way to help you. There's nothing to be embarrassed about .
Here's a big hug from me ok ? Please...tell them !!

hi ya,
first things first don't be scared.
maybe when your a little bit older you should go and see a physic, this really helped me, because a s a child i saw and experienced a lot of things i didn't want to.
i shut it all out and was living scared for a long time. but then i had a physic approach me at a fair, she told me what i had been experiencing which was strange because i had never told anyone.
she guided me.

maybe go to your local library and look up spirits, dream interpretation, that sort of thing. its not something you should be scared of but if you have a gift you need to be grounded by a medium and guided.
good luck.

Sorry, can't help with your question but just know that someone soon will be able to help you. See someone in person, not with an online doctor though. The mind can play very strange tricks at times....and whatever you said to a therapist/doctor, you can guarantee that they will have heard a lot worse!!
Thinking of you my friend, hope all comes out okay.

K chicken as someone who struggles to tell her parents the time of the day understand were you are coming from. I do worry about the depression you feel. You do need to talk to someone. Do you have access to a school councillor? If not maybe a friend or teacher you trust. It is scary aproaching someone for the first time but it may make you feel better to talk about it. Best of luck my dear

You really must get advice. It sounds as though you are suffering from mental health problems and you would be better served going to your GP or practise nurse for advice rather than contacting people who are not skilled in this area. I work for Mind. Go into one of their drop in centres but stop trying to cope on your own because, believe me you won't be able to. There is help out there for you but you must seek it in the right place. Take Care

Hiya, i wouldnt like to say whats normal, and whats not but i would def seek some advice from an older adult. You say your a child...maybe you could talk to a teacher who you get on with at school, or your parents.

The fact that it's scaring you worries me, as it seems to be a little disturbing for you.

Take my advice and speak to someone, its not helpful to keep this pent up inside.

Anything else i can do just let me know.
Take care

Your parents may not believe you are seeing spirits but I am sure they will believe you if you say that they are bothering you and that you are depressed. You could even leave out the part about spirits if you wanted.

other than that try to relax and do something you enjoy.

Can you take yourself to a doctor? Or look up MIND online and go and 'phone them, or pop in? Can you see a teacher? Please do not contact any one on the site, I know htere are lots of genuine people on here, but there are afew who are not.

It is obvious that you need professional help. This is not a bad thing, most people need help. Be open and honest in your feelings. Good luck, I hope things get better for you.
