If you need to learn to use it, I'd highly recommend getting a third-party how-to book at your local bookstore.

you can retrive data using queries.Its use will be see if you use a frontend tool like vb6.0 etc.

it's not a relational database neither it is client-server like Oracle, MS SQL,etc.(RDBMS). but very good. it supports the query language SQL as good as MSSQL. except the true RDBMS features.
