I'm surprised by all the negativity. The Tiburon actually had great ratings in 2004 when I bought mine. I researched the hell out of it and the experts all said that it was the best deal in a coupe. I also had a race car driver test drive it and got the thumbs up form them. The one consideration is that the resale value will not be the same as an Acura RSX or even a Toyota Celica, but you get a lot more for the money with the Tiburon. Also... the body was designed by a Ferrari designer, no joke, just Google it. 2003 may have been a bad year but I haven't heard that. I have only had one problem - a blown tire early on but the warranty covered it. Other than that I am very happy with mine. One suggestion... get the upgrade package and a 6-cylinder not the 4. Happy Shopping.

please, do not buy this underpowered clone honda. This is not a good care new, you need to do some more research I would buy a honda, a nissan or a toyota long before a HYUNDAI They get a fair number of complaints on yahoo answers here about being underpowered, There are also some fairly expensive parts that should be getting ready to break It is at the limit of its useful life I typed 2003 hyundai tiburon problems and recalls ? in the web search box, and at the bottom of the results page found a web sire that had 166 clutch and/or transmission failures, which the dealer refused to warranty. Now keep in mind, that's just one website, and I know for a fact there are ten times that number who didn't complain. that is a lot of crappy cars driving around, so DON'T BUY A HUNK OF CRAP!!! THERE WERE PLENTY OF OTHER COMPLAINTS AS WELL.

Depends on the trim level, but in general, NO! Look at the autobytel forums under Hyundai Tiburon. You'll see a large number of complaints about the transmission. Some people may say that the issue has been fixed but it's still an ongoing issue with Hyundai.
Plus, check the details of their "100,000 mile warranty". It is a non-transferrable warranty so buying the car used will void it out.
