Will yoga lower your heart rate as well aerobic exercise does? How many times should you do it a week to see a reduction in heart rate? About how many bmp does it bring it down?

Yoga can help lower your heart rate but no, not like aerobics. The BPM is not standardized and differs from person to person. Yoga as a form of exercise alone... without any other sort of exercise should probably be done about 3-6x per week.

Yes but it depends on the kind of Yoga.

Bikram Yoga certainly will. It is very hard work and gets your heart pounding.

That is what I do and mine hovers between 50 and 60 beats per minute. That is about the same as when I was practicing Northern Shaolin Kung Fu which was the most intense exercise I have done including track, swimming, basketball, Karate, ....
