In Mark 9:46, Jesus Christ says about hell: "Where THEIR WORM dieth not, and the fire is not quenched."
The earth’s crust on land is normally 50 miles thick. You’d have to go down 50 miles before the edge of the fire. But in parts of the ocean floor, the earth’s crust is less than a mile thick.
Scientists recently discovered cracks on the ocean floor where fire was leaking out. Do you know what they found around these fire-breathing vents in the crust? Eight-foot long worms, found no other place in the world! The book, The Deep Sea, by Joseph Wallace (p.39), reads, "Perhaps the strangest of ocean creatures recently discovered are Riftia, the giant tube WORMS. Measuring up to 8 feet in length, the worms are ONLY FOUND NEAR DEEP SEA VENTS."
And Jesus Christ said, "Where THEIR WORM dieth not, and the fire is not quenched."
Brimstone and the unquenchable fire are in the core of the earth. In all I've read and studied it points to hell being in the deep center of the earth.

The scriptures you are talking about refers to Gehenna Mark 9:43
Gehenna was a garbage dump that sulfer was used to totally burn the garbage.
The Jews threw those whom they viewed as unworthy of a resurrection into so that the body would be totally destroyed.
When Jesus refered to gehenna, he wasn't teaching that the souls of the wicked would burn in hell, he was teaching that the wicked would be totally destroyed (Matt 10:28)
Ez 18:4 says that the soul dies,
Eccl 9:5,10 teach that the dead know are conscienous of nothing.
So there is nothing left to torture.
Luke ch. 16 is a parable, teaching that God was changing who would be in the favored position with God. vs. 14

The second scripture is referring to the fall of Lucicer, to the pit of hell.

Acts 12:23
23 Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died.
NIV

11 All your pomp has been brought down to the grave,
along with the noise of your harps;
maggots are spread out beneath you
and worms cover you.

this is particularly user-friendly. we are religious beings that a minor godling trapped in flesh bodies for his own entertainment. consequently there's a worldwide this is evil ruled over with the help of a tyrannical god who desires to maintain us ignorant in maximum cases and particularly ignorant as to our religious nature. This godling is so petty he needs us to take a seat down around and tell him how fab he's. a competent spirit, some think of it could have been an avatar of Jesus, comes alongside to unfastened us with the help of beginning our eyes to our nature. That, despite if no longer as helpful, we are religious beings basically like our captor and could substitute into unfastened with the help of determining it and he inspired us in that. Gnotics are the only ones that make any sense of the bible. are you able to truly think of a god so pathetic that he needs worship?

The flesh eating worms is just a metaphor Jesus used to show how corrosive religion is.

Mark 9:42-48
"And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in Me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea. And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell [or gehenna], into the fire that never shall be quenched where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched."
Thats about as close as He gets to talking about the worms. :)
God Bless

Mark 9:44. You don't have Google? And I don't believe in Christ, who said, "But I say unto you... whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire, MAT 5:22. " Apparently you don't believe in him either since you have no idea what he said and are in danger of hell fire because of it.
