It will be held on the beachfront, with the bride and groom standing on the sand. It is set for 6:00pm. I am an invited guest. Don't think it is going to be very formal.

Don't wear heels, they get caught in the sand, or wear them and take them off if you see other people doing it.
For a wedding like this though, I would presonally wear a pair of dressed up light linnen pants, a pretty top and a sweater, and would bring a pair of both short heels, and sandles and go with whatever you see other people wearing.
I think though honestly you'll end up with several different people wearing different things, from shorts and t shirts to suits and ties because it's not spacific enough for people to know what to wear, and in american culture looking nice for a wedding is dying.
I wouldn't want to be that person in jeans at a wedding though, it's just bad form.
I hope this helps!

Ask the bride or a member of the bridal party first. If no one replies, go semi formal.

If I were you, I would wear like a sleeveless white dress with a v-neck or something in that category. Since it is on a beach you can do cute white sandals that would match the dress. Be elegant but dont over do it! Goodluck.

I would say go with a floral sundress in light pastels, a pair of dressy, comfy sandles (non of the dollar store flip flops), wear your hair up in a loose bun with little pin curls hanging down, and a light crotcet shawl in case it gets slightly cool, wear it draped in the crease of your elbows.

Find out what the wedding party is wearing. If they're going all-out in traditional dress, maybe the guests should not dress so casual.

Contact the bride or the groom and ask what kind of wedding it is, whether it is a formal one or a laid back one....

Wear a sleeveless light fabric dress, soft color and not dark. Usa casual sandals to go with it and carry a cardigan just in case it gets a little breezy.

What day of the week? A Friday or Saturday evening wedding is usually pretty formal.
