The Quran is the word of God.

It is the word of God as it was told to Muhammad (pbuh) through he angel Gabriel.

It has never changed or distorted since the time of revelation.

Firstly, perception is reality. So to the Muslim you don't say "this nonsense". Secondly the answer lies outside circular logic: the Koran is the divine word of God because God wrote it and God exists because the Koran tells us that God exists is circular. How can we either verify the Koran independently of the Koran or independently verify the existence of God? I'm assuming that the Koran is similar to the Bible with respect to God existing outside the confines of the universe that we currently inhabit, so it is therefore necessary to independently verify the validate the accuracy of the Koran. If this cannot be done then there is no proof of the Koran's accuracy and this is blind faith, if the person refuses after this argument that their faith is blind then the conversation cannot continue as neither party can move past this point but if the person can show that their faith is based on something deeper (such as a personal experience or testimony for their conversion) then it is possible to continue the discussion and understand beliefs. I would like to point out that blind faith is bad regardless of if the faith is in Islam, Christianity or Atheism (Atheism may not be a religion but it still requires faith in it's accuracy)

oh boy you're really confused

if by chance you're holding a 1000 years old bible or koran or maybe the first book of adam probably be written on stones, pulps, skins of animals,....would you truly believe it's a holy book from god?

will you be able to read or understand what's written?
did the messengers/prophets understood what's god saying
these are heavenly words which sometimes they themselves could'nt make it up or god simply wants it to be that way for future mankind like us to interprete its meaning

what's more to say of today's religious teachers?
do you think they'll be able to dig up god's secret ?
so what we are actually reading are translations/opinions of the people who think they're smart enough but the fact is they are'nt

and look at what we're now-confused for their gain

1 book - 10 teachers - 10 opinions = 10 confused strudents and no true answer

There's no error free book when they're man made
but of utmost importance
Do not ever accept everything because someone said so but
to read and carefully find out it's true meaning with a clear mind and conscience.
keep on your sincere faith to get the truth and if god's willing you'll see the road ahead to him
godbless

yes, given to Muhammad by the Angel Gabriel

God promised in the Qur'an that he would protect it, so no one can change it. If the Imam says one letter wrong when reciting the qur'an in prayer he is immdediately corrected. Over a million muslims alive today have memorised the qur'an off by heart. This alone makes it impossible to change it! This has always been the case. Muhammad was illiterate. Gabriel taught him the Qur'an by memory.

ps. Williamzo who stated 'contradictions below' from a christian website is very childish. Allah said that if the Qur'an was not from him you would find mistakes in it. Very intelligent men have read the qur'an and concluded there are no errrors.
Where is the book 'mistakes in the qur'an' that would finish off the whole religion. NOWHERE. Instead you have christians who cut paste pathetically onto stupid websites.

yes it is LITERALLY the word of God.

there's no he said she said in there buddy, it's ALL God speaking to mankind. it was delivered by Angel Gabriel (pbuh) to Prophet Muhammed (pbuh). and then written down as the Prophet recited it.

there were thousands of people who memorized the Noble Quran at the time of the Prophet and the message took 23 years to be fufilled.

so the Quran wasnt revealed over night.

and to answer your Question, there's NO time limit, corruption comes from Man.
but Allah/God said in the Quran that this final revelation WILL NOT be changed.

as you may notice now adays many people are already trying to change the Quran. but they will never succeed. there are MILLIONS of people out there that memorize the Quran like the back of their hands.

yes with no doubt. there is no minumum number of years. God has promised in the Quran that this book will remain protected. and God also challenged those who may think that they may come up with a book like this to try to do it. God said, they will never be able to d it, and they will Never do it.

You will not do it and will never do it:
Quran 2:23-24
[23] And if you (Arab pagans, Jews, and Christians) are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down (i.e. the Qur'ân) to Our slave (Muhammad (peace be upon him) then produce a Sûrah (Chapter) of the like thereof and call your witnesses (supporters and helpers) besides Allâh, if you are truthful.

[24] But if you do it not, and you can never do it, then fear the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.

-------------------
-We sent down this Quran and we will guard it:

Quran ch15:9
[9] Verily We, it is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Qur'ân) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption).

Quran is the word of Mohammad, memorized by some of his followers and compiled in a book 20 years after he died.

the proof for your question can only be answered by faith, and waiting for God to resolve it for you.And that is another aspect of faith, belief in the unseen.Because the Day of Judgment is part of the unseen.Because the Promise of Allah is true!
