Sometimes when I pray, I feel God's presence so strongly that I'm moved to tears. Once when I was having a terrible nightmare I was fighting and fighting to get up, but I couldn't. When I started to pray, I felt as though something just lifted off me. You know sometimes you wake up from nightmares scared? At that time I woke up so peacefully. I felt safe and protected. As I thought about what just transpired, I thought that it was a miracle. I started to cry. One night I put on a CD with the Hanuman Chaleesa (a Hindu religious song). My folks and I started to smell Havan smoke (Havan is a type of Hindu ritual where offerings of ghee etc. are offered into a fire). There was no smoke in the room and the scent was extremely high. The scent did not come from outside either. I was so moved. There are so many more devoted people in the world and the Lord blessed me to experience something like that. Basically when I feel God's presence I feel an overwhelming feeling of unconditional love within my soul. We are all connected to God in spirit. I'm a Hindu. I've felt God's love whilst listening to bhajans (Hindu religious songs), qaseedas (Muslim religious songs) and even Christian hymns. As long as we open our hearts and see God as our best friend, our mother, our father, we will receive Divine love and blessings.
