I cannot tell you what the words mean, but I can tell you about the syndrome and its symptoms. My younger brother has aspergers. Aspergers is considered the highest functioning version of autism. Autism is usually rated on a rainbow scale, and aspergers is off that scale as far as level of functioning. However, there can be significant delays in speech, development, education, and socialization. One of the hardest obstacles for a child with aspergers to overcome is their inability to interact with the people around them. They do not usually pick up on basic social cues, therefore if they are being annoying they will not even notice it. Sometimes they are delayed in their schoolwork and will either not focus at all or only be focused one subject throughout the day. Schools commonly misdiagnose aspergers as ADD because of this. Children with aspergers can overcome this obstacles with hard work from bot ht he child and parents. It is important that everyone is on board and aware of the difficulties facing them or not much will be accomplished. My brother was having a very very difficult time at school (not doing work, unable to concentrate, and could not make friends) once he was diagnosed and has been going to a therapist for children with various forms of autism, his grades have improved dramatically and he has begun to make friends.

It is a mild form of Autism in which the child, usually male has a hard time with social graces. Tends to not have knowledge of personal space limits, tends to have very few interests, but whatever their interests are is everything to them. They have trouble maintaing relationships with their peers as they tend to only talk about the things they are interested in and do not segue into other conversations well. They tend to have no concept of the imaginary. Everything is black or white with no room for in betweens. May exhibit hostility or agressive behavior when normal routine is disrupted. Do not do well without set boundaries that they normally set for themselves. They do not see why your rules apply as they have set "logical" ones of their own. Most have other maladies attached such as Obsessive compulsive disorder, or ADD, ADHD. It has only been know since the 40's when the German doctor who it is named for diagnosed it. It has often been misdiagnosed as ADD and is only now beginning to be understood for what it is and treated as such. Because it is a form of Autism, if your child is diagnosed with it you may be eligible for state funded help with services the child may need later on in life.
