It's the knowledge of good and evil. This is knowledge that is only for the gods so only gods can receive nourishment from the apple. We have merely diluted ourselves by thinking we have this knowledge. If we spit it out we would then discover how useless school truly is. I haven't learned thing one in school that helped increase my survival rate. Twelve years of the same crap over and over again is only keeping children out of the job market. Reading, Writhing and Arithmetic is basic stuff that a lot of kids can't do and you'd think the school could at least teach that.

Good question. Because the sin of the aplle produced a kind of knowledge to our surroundings that seperates us from animals. When we go to school to learn.. say, Science, that knowledge came about by the sin of the apple, yet, we humans need to dig deeper into sin to find it.

knwledge of good and evil is different from true knwledge and wisdom, the sin form that tree and adam and eve was rebellion.
