There are bibles specifically geared for children which teach them the basics of the bible without a lot of the scariness associated with it. My children both have their own. Since when is learning about God a bad thing. It is only bad if you do not want your children to know about it.

Of course children should read the Bible .
A children's Bible might be the best way forward as starting point but as they progress they should be able with help and explanations of different aspects of the Adult Bible they should find it very inspiring .

Of course- In fact they should be encouraged to do so. How can
teaching a child love and forgiveness be a bad thing, The ten
commandants cover all that is required of us.We so often fail--!
but the LORD is a forgiving 'GOD' Read the BIBLE and learn.

Yes, they should read it and their parents should read it with them to give them a better understanding (if THEY understand it). Why would they learn a bad thing? The bible is wonderful. Only those who are unbelievers and outside the will of God needs to be scared.

Why wouldn't it be?? Most churches have children's time and children's Bible classes. I went to a class in my church when I was less than 5 years old. They even have youth groups and they learn and read the Bible.

It is allowed and it should be done, everybody should read the bible, even if you don't believe with it, because i will respect any atheist comments and questions and stuff if they have read the bible and at least know what they are talkin about. other than that, Peace
