beta, what churches are you looking at? Every church I have seen has a $20,000 organ, stained glass windows, fancy furniture, nice everything.

Yes! If they demand to be recognized in government places, then they should definitely be taxed just like everyone else.

You really think churches have the hundreds of billions needed to balance the budget??? Most churches don't have enough money to put new paint on their walls let alone pay any taxes.

No but as a citizen, you may pay more taxes if you want. It's at the bottom of the 1040. Just choose the option, "I don't think I pay enough taxes" and let them keep your whole return.

Libs always want to tax. How about we tax minorites and homosexuals more instead? What about useless organizations like PETA?

that will not solve anything, because that is local government, property taxes. they still pay income tax on the money they receive
