Breasts: Why are we men attracted to women with big breasts?

Question

Apart from the obvious I would like to know whether there is something more to it, like a biological need. I would be disappointed in myself if its just a perversion.

Breasts are attention-getters, nothing more.

With all clothing designed for women with breasts, it is difficult for a woman who is scanty up there to find clothing that drapes well. Large breasted women have the same problem.

One of my clients does breast surgery and he says he does almost as many breast reductions as enhancements.

So, don't worry about it. You are not perverted if you notice or even are initially attracted to a woman because she has shapely breasts.

Here is a method to determine if you have a problem because you are attracted to a a woman because of her breasts - if you decide that a woman is definitely not for you, but stay with her just because of her breasts, then you do have a real problem and need to get some help.

I don't have a link but there was a worldwide study to measure beauty. Men worldwide of all cultures like several aspects including an 'hourglass' shape. SO its not really the size so much as the proportion. Breasts have to do with being a good mother - a biological need and also it advertises that you are female to possible mates. Men often find the female characteristics most attractive, same with women and men. Man boobs are incredibly gross to women probably for that reason. But large breasts aren't everything, few Asians naturally have large breasts but many people prefer Asian women. That all media. When they did this study they found men also like a broad forehead and eyes spread apart, but a lot of recent models are practically crosseyes, horsefaces - big nose thick eye brows etc, and I'm sure media plays a huge role in what is considered attractive. Works with guys too - look at old 80's or 90's movies and watch the different looks and shapes. Breast are very primal though. It says 'female' and 'can feed your babies' possibly there's also that 'you once depended on them yourself' element. Breasts were once your sole means of life, and some of your earliest visual memories.

Attraction comes from animal instinct. When we were back in the cavemen days breast size and hip size were important. The breasts are there to feed a newborn child and the pelvic bone being the right size would decrease the chance of the mother dying during the birth. As this was the case automatically men recognised the most appropriate woman physically as being the most attractive. The animal instinct doesn't disappear due to society evolving hence men are usually attracted to women who are likely to be good child bearers. Women are also more attracted to men who are well toned as they would make the best hunters and providers.

I think its a thing having to do with food, when we are born we are attached to mom when we breast feed. Its like would we rather eat a small happy meal or a double whopper. Men in general stick to that ideal, we women in the other hand lose that after puberty when we get our own boobs. Still some of us don't like what we have and spend a lot of money to get fake ones or get them reduced. Thank god for plastic surgeons. I still haven't found any female surgeons though.

Probably something to do with the subconscious image of fertility etc, or maybe that sexuality is highlighted.

I don't think ALL men are attracted to big breasts, but a higher majority than aren't (or maybe that's just men that *I* know, lol).

I once read this article that spoke about how men prefer women with breasts that resemble the ones of their mothers. If certain men prefer DD breasts, it's probably because their moms hads DDs. Other men prefer Cs or Ds. Test out this theory and you'll see. I have. Just ask the guy what size breasts he prefers on a woman, then ask what size breasts his mom has. Try doing it in that order, otherwise he might get where ur going with the question and refuse to answer it out of fear of sounding incestuous...

Engorged breasts are a sign of child bearing qualities. Its a natural instinct to prefer woman with larger breasts and larger waists (both related to child bearing). American culture, through Hollywood and media has put out the notion that "skinny" is in, therefore leaving out the larger waists.

That is also the reason females feel the attraction for "macho" men, the quality of secureness and protection arises, even if most men get their muscles from weights in gyms and not actual work.

Large breasts and wide hips are signs that a woman should be more fertile and able to hold up better over multiple births. This means that men should be attracted to them because they have a better chance of procreating and their offspring being born healthy and well fed after birth. That is at least a theory.

It's a deep rooted instinct. Large breasts are a sign of fertility in the eyes of men. Yet, whether they're truly fertile or not has nothing to do with their breasts.
