Ridiculous. It is the parents job to teach children the difference between fact and fiction. Also, why is it bad for children to know that there are people who actually practice that stuff? Why is that so bad? Harry Potter is not something I read personally but I've seen a couple of the movies. My brother in law who is more like a nephew has always had a hard time in school. He hates to read or do anything that uses brainpower, but he'll read Harry Potter. I think thats great. The problem these people have is that they think anything thats popular is evil. They would think the bible was evil if kids started to read it on their own.

Some people always over react and want to ban things that don't fit into their view of life. Remember Huck Finn? Same thing. This will pass and the people in the future will just laugh.

i have never liked harry potter,when something like this becomes a phenomenom you should ask yourself,what's behind all this?
