They are saying I owe money that I in fact can prove I don't owe and have sent a wage garnishment to my employer. When I called for information about the past due amount they said I would have to submit an acct. review which takes 6 - 8 weeks. During this time my employer will HAVE to garnish my wages. If after the Acct. review is completed it is determined that I did not owe this money the only way I can get it back is if my ex WILLINGLY gives it back to me. Just wondering if anyone knows away around this. Its scary the more I read about this agency. They are allowed to place liens on homes and seize bank accounts without a court order. Pretty scary huh?

I pay child support in Illinois. All I can say is good luck. If you are a man you are the enemy in Illinois.

If you have the court order stating there is no child support due--take it in. However--go to the county clerk of courts where the order originated (divorce or paternity action) and check the file first! There may be a subsequent order which you've forgotten about. Courts cannot change or impose an order against you unless you're notified--unless of course you absconded to avoid paying support. Heres a link to Illinois CSE:

Good luck!

Unfortuantely, as they are the only ones who will make out in this, you will have to get an attorney. My ex used the courts to harrass me, until the judge finally caught on and told her if she did one more time, he was going to hold her in contempt. Meanwhile, it cost me $$$$$$ todeal with it.
