I should rephrase the question to non spiritual people instead of just non believers of God. I feel spiritually led people all seek the truth and I am not the judge of them. Sorry. Please forgive me.

Boy, what a can of worms. What I'm trying to get at are the pervs that make snide remarks or bash the beliefs of others, whatever their beliefs are.

Sorry I ever asked this question. Got some real good answers though. Thanks.

Sometimes, questions come up on the general posts...that draw their attention.

Instead of asking them to go away, I invite them to not only answer but to read other answers.

Perhaps there's been something they need an answer for that someone else has not only posted but perhaps in the answers to that post.

We need to pray for the un-Churched; those that don't have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

I know sometimes, the enemy will get in the way and cause a posting/answer that is ugly. We can just ignore them, report them and or pray for them. There are many opportunities to reach people across the Internet.

Let's show them the love of God / Jesus through our answers.

Grace to all and God Bless!!!

I think you need reason's guidance because you sure are lost..trapped it seems in a dark age mentality.

I am here because i find religion fascinating. And i find a great deal of comedic value to seeing believers trying to defend their silly superstitions. We were burnt at the stake by people with your mentality for long enough. This thing called the enlightenment happened and now we are free to speak our minds. If you don't like it then i suggest Afghanistan or one of those Christian communes..they won't let you talk bad about their religion there.

"If you really want to know the truth, just ask God, if You are real, reveal yourself to me...Then quietly listen to His answer/leading."

Sure.. I'll do it now. I did it hundreds of times back when i was a Christian.. I'll do it again... OK... nothing happened. So does that prove that god doesn't exist? I think so..you offered me a test to see if you god is real, and it has failed. How many tests have to fail for you to move on to another hypothesis?

I did exactly as you said, I was a christian for 22 years and never once had any feeling that God was listening to me. Your question appeared on the list when I signed on, so I am answering it because there are loads of other categories on this site that I like to use, I do not visit religion and spirituality because I find it offencive that people ram their religion down other people's throats. However non-believers has just as much right to be here, so be CHRISTIAN and welcome the unbelievers, instead of trying to provoke an argument, that is not very loving is it?

It's not a Christian only site so that would answer your question. It's for everyone just like going to the bank, to the store, everywhere. If you don't want to be around non-believers then perhaps you need to stop coming to the site.
But you always catch more flies w/honey do you think berariting non-belivers makes them believe? No by doing that you are showing no reflection of God's love. Did Jesus only sit with believers and talk about how great it was to believe in God? NO he was with the sinners the whores, the tax collectors, showing them God's Love not beating it into them.

I am here to learn about the belief systems of others and to read perspectives that differ from my own. I was under the impression that this was the Religion & Spirituality section, and all were welcome here.
I suggest if you do not care to hear what people of other faiths have to say, you be the one to visit another site. There are forums that are Christian based.

Non believers of God are here for the same reason you are here.We live in the United States of America which is a free democracy That means we live by our constitution. Freedom of speech for one and freedom to worship the religion of our choice or none at all. It's as simple as that.

There are non-believers on this site because it's a free country and they can be. I don't remember that question coming up when I signed into this site. Seriously!! I'm not trying to be rude but to tell people they do not belong on this site because they may not believe in the same things you do is just unreasonable.

The title of this forum is Religion & Spirituality..... Not Christians only.

I am a Christian, but ir expect to have the right of free speech, I have to defend every one else's right also.

The rights we as Christians enjoy, can exist if they exist for every one.

Enough with this trying to stir up things.

There are plenty of things in this world to spend our energy on besides hate for one another.

Because everyone has an opinion, even about the form of God. Just because a person doesn't believe in God in the same way you do doesn't mean that they can't be spiritual beings in their own right. My grandfather never went to church, because he considered it to be a place where little old ladies went to gossip. But when he died, scores of people came up to us and told us what a powerful affect he had on their lives. I tend to believe that because God is beyond any of our comprehension, we can't assume that our interpretation of him is the right one, or the only one. Maybe he appears to each person in the way in which they can understand him best, be it through Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, or any other belief system.

Why is this question routinely asked?

Listen, I believe in humanity. It would be misanthropic, and a disservice to my beliefs, not to attempt to understand something of this concept that keeps 5 billion people in the world in thrall.

Why don't you look at the GLBT page and se how many of the posters there _do_ believe in God but don't believe in GLBT? But that doesn't stop them from spreading hate, does it?
