more than a foot taken off my hair by my aunt. she told me she was only taking an inch at the most. when she finished with it it barely covered the tops of my shoulders.
lucky for me my hair grows fast.
i wish you all luck in growing yours back out.

A couple years ago i decided i wanted a cut, THAT day. I am very impatient and when i want something, i want it NOW! My regular stylist wasnt available so i went to a different salon and had some girl, she must have been 23 at the most, do the cut.
I wanted layers all over, and all she did was give me one big layer across the back of my head! My hair was 2 tiered!! OMG, i didnt realize it till later, and had to go back to have it fixed. She didnt even blow dry my hair. She just put gel in it and sent me out the door with wet hair, so i didnt see it at first. I'll never stray from my stylist!

I had the guts to cut my hair myself a few times. The first time was the worst. I ended up giving myself what they call a "high and tight" sounds perverted, and I hate saying it, but it's what MARINES have for a 'do. I got enough compliments, but it made me REALLY self-conscious. I kept up with it to piss off my gf at the time, cuz I knew she'd been screwing around for a while. That was my revenge. LOL. Worked, too.

When I was about 10 years old, my mom dropped me off at the stylist to get my first haircut by myself. I was very excited. The stylist ended up cutting my hair JAGGED in the back, but I didn't know because she didn't show me. So i didn't find out until I got home. it was pretty awful

Sorry, but you really needed to communicate to the stylist that you only wanted a few inches off. Make sure they understand you next time.

I have never had a bad trim, but i seriously messed up my boyfriends hair when i tried to "trim" it. Needless to say, he has forgiven me, but i will never let him touch my hair in fear of rettaliation!!
