The Bible is full of sex and murder. Wonder if Hollywood made an unrated version of the Bible, but, sticking to the Bible, with no added storyline than what the Bible gives. How many people would let their children go see it? And since it would have nudity, and even have graphic images of Onan pulling out, and emitting his "seed" on the ground, would it be considered obscene?

Absolutely NOT.
There are also Children's Bibles that are made suitable for children. The Bible itself should not be banned. There is nothing wrong with it.
Perhaps you should focus more on banning other things. What about the pornography that children are exposed to on the internet, trashy TV programs, violence?

They're going to have to learn about it sooner or later. If a child is old enough so that they can read a book like the Bible and understand the language in it, than they deserve to read it.
Besides, in society nowadays, a child usually learns about sex before they're six. Sad, isn't it?

If you take the scriptures away from the children how will they see the cures that come from sin without actually committing them their self. It's meant to be used as a tool for teaching. That's why Able, Moses, Abraham and all the rest of the men that wrote these things down did it. So we would see, read and learn to teach our children our children's, children generation after generation.

Yes! Interesting that you bring up this topic. I had a run-in with the last church I attended. I actually wrote the Pastor a letter saying that I was concerned about his judgment, and vowed never to return. He had this traveling circus show called "Noah's Ark" come to the church. It was complete with stuffed animals, projection show, narrator and fancy lights and souds. It was deemed appropriate for children as young as six years old. One of our children was six at the time (we had 8,9 and 10-year olds with us, too). Long story short: We left in the middle of it because we knew that the scary devil condeming everyone to Hell was going to cause nightmares. It was so wrong, insensitive and in the poorest of judgment. But it obviously brought in a lot of revenue.
~To the "thumbs-down-happy" person: This is a true story about how someone scared my child to tears, in the name of "God." You're an imbicile. I hope you're not a parent.

how do children learn anything but be exposed? what is needed is for a caring adult to explain in simple terms...for example, my dad (a preacher) was asked by a kid what a eunuch was? u might gasp as how to explain that without being gross---my dad said:"it's a man who can't have children.." the kid was satisfied and that was that.

Evolution is being taught in public schools as a fact. The Bible should be taught, because it unlike evolution is fact..
Those words in the Bible are not "bad words"..
