There is a revision to AR 600-9. I am trying to find out if a soldier is flagged because of the old regulation and is about to become seperated from the army, is that seperation terminated because of the revised regulation... Thanks!

The only one whom you should ask or trust with that question is JAG. Don't listen to any one else when it comes to some thing as serious as your career. I made that mistake.

No, although there has been a change to the regulation (dated 01 SEP 06), any Soldier who is flagged under the regulation is still flagged. There would be an exception to that, and that is if the conditions under which the Soldier is being seperated for, changed and would cause him to get unflagged.

I am a Master Fitness in my unit and I know the regulation front and back. The only big change was to the DA Form 5500 (Male Body Fat Content Worksheet) and the DA Form 5501 (Female Body Fat Content Worksheet). This being that females are measured by their waist, abs, and neck. The old system for them was the wrist, forearm, backside, and neck. There were minor changes to the weight system too though, but nothing major to the actual administrative procedures for seperation. G to:

here you can download the new version (if you have an AKO account, and you should). You should really check it out for yourself to confirm it.

jn is right ... if you have a question of this matter it is best to seek advice from your local JAG office, of if you get along with your commander or 1st sergeant or plt sgt, you can ask them to help you find your answer. More than likely though they will refer you to JAG. Have a good day :) - Zenas
