People claim that after 7 years of marriage you get bored, think of cheating etc. I have been married for 10 and have never had this issue.

It is an old tale that people get bored after 7 years of marriage, well it only took 3 with my ex...lol......I think it is crap ..7 years 9 years 30 years....you shouldn't always scratch an itch, it could get infected!

"7 year itch" is a catch phrase for marital boredom ... usualy occurring around the 7th year of marriage ... other similar events are "midlife crisis" or "empty nest syndrome" which occur about the time that the last child leaves the parental home

It means that after about 7 years of being married to the same person you start wondering what it would be like to be single or with someone else, it passes however.

It is accually a theory derived from evolution. We supposedly evolved from apes and they stay with their mate for 7 years. The theory is that humans feel this instint to move on after 7 years as our "ansestors" do. It is a very interesting subject to research look up seven year ache on google and check it out there are lots of different theorys on this subject!!
