No, if the activation time runs out you will not be able to use it until you activate it.

no it wont let you log in until you activate it, however if you reboot and log on in safe mode as the admin you can change the date back a few days then you can use it til you activate it.

If it's legal call microsoft and they give you a new key.
If it's illegal then you are going to have to accept and move on.
