I didn't have a religion spoon fed to me. I was raised by an Agnostic and a Witch.

Hmmm, I can't agree with you completely. I grew up in a home with a Muslim father and a Christian mother. I always respected both religions. When I was fourteen, soemone asked me what religion I was. I told them both, because neither parent had told me what it was to be a Christian or a Muslim. I was screamed at "that is not possible!!!" And my friend who was one of the only bisexuals at the school stood up for me that I could believe what I wanted to believe. She practiced witchcraft and other things of the sort. Well, I went through highschool dazed and without knowledge until I got in a lot of trouble by my parents' standards. I realized, I don't like who I am. I have no foundation. So I was forced to look for something to believe in. So I chose to go to a christian church. My little brother went two times to this little church and told me it was "pretty fun". So I joined the Sunday class. I saw my Youth pastor and didn't really understand what he was talking about. So I read the Bible for myself. I questioned everything. I realized in all of that that it is not possible to be Muslim and Christian and still want the ways of the world to cater to me and what I thought was "right" by my human standards. I was taught to love and be good to people, and I still do. But it comes in a different manner. I am now a Christian and loving my Jesus as my savior because He has proven Himself to me. But I had to ask Him first, with a broken and contrite heart to come into my life and give me truth. Especially in this world that spoon feeds lies to their children because they think that what their mind says is greater than God. Or that no God and what you feel is right must be better than having a righteous and loving God.

I was also "spoon fed" a religion as a child. But, I quickly developed an allergy to it and have been fine ever since I stopped swallowing the tripe.

Many parents will try to teach their children what they believe as far as religion and spirituality is concerned. I think this is only natural and logical. However, there comes a time in your life when you must evaluate yourself and your beliefs, and ultimately must decide what you want to do and to believe.

Faith is partly about believing in things that cannot be proven, but you are an idiot if you follow everything that you are taught without analyzing it and deciding for yourself.

No at least mot for me. I had the basics and then I learned on my own as a teenager and by leaning on God who helped me greatly whemn things were bad at home and they were quite often. It is a parents job to give their children the beginning teachings of chritianity and to help them learn how to learn more so they know that they are not just a bot but a learned person who can read and figure out for themselves what is right and wrong

I grew up in a Methodist home, but soon became agnostic as an adult. I remained agnostic for more than 30 years until I learned about Judaism from Jews. It makes sense and requires no miracles for justification. Not only is questioning allowed, it is encouraged.

You have a chance to adopt any belief system you want at any moment.

Open your mind and research, research, research.

All paths that teach of Love and Unity can lead to enlightenment.

Any path that teaches fear and separation is leading you further away.

You are part of the Divine. Your salvation lies within you, you are not dependant upon any outside entity for salvation.

Do good things and you come closer to God, do bad things and you are removed from God, it's as simple as that.

There's only one commandment, Love they neighbor.

I don't believe as my parents did. I looked at the evidence, and saw the truth of the Bible. I saw that the Bible didn't teach what every denomination said it did, that people aren't saved by faith only (James 2:24).

We may be greatly influenced by our parents, but we have the ability to choose for ourselves. Why not look at things objectively and honestly?
