iv tryed to use a text to speech tool but cannot find one where i can save it as a sound file, i really hope i can do this because it would realy freak my g/f out if the com starts wishing her to have a nice day lol.

Yes, just record something using Sound Recorder and then go to Control Panel and click on Sounds and Audio Devices. Click on the Sounds tab and you can set a sound for basically anything that happens (menu popping up, open program, start/shutdown Windows, etc.)

I have heard you can get THEMES for your computer they have apps sounds, backgrounds, cursors, wallpaper and screen savers not sure where to get them from though.

Windows xp has one built in, it's called Narrator. itt usually under start/accessorys/acessibilty.
