Neighbors too loud!!!?

Question

i live in an apartment and the setup entails the master bedroom of mine being head to head with the master bedroom of the neighbors apartment. i have been woken up every night about 3 days a week to my neighbors "loving each other" VERY loudly. how can i tactfully get them to quiet down as they are keeping me up at night (usually around 11, 12, or 1 am in the morning!!!)... Help PLEASE!!!

Blast your radio while they are sleeping. Sound the air horn around 3:00 am to get their attention. Call the cops and report that it sounds like someone is being murdered. Report them for disturbing the peace. Or just go speak with them and tell them, "You probably don't realize how much sound carries through these apartments, but we can hear everything that goes on in your bedroom."

We have the same style setup in our room, we just moved the bed around enough to get it away from the wall, there are noise reducing material that be put on the walls if it still gets through.
Approuching the neighbors is an uncomfortable situation and can lead to more problems,
PS, my used earplugs a few times and said they worked great.

I have noisy neighbors upstairs who pound when they walk. I decided not to say anything and I feel better about it. If I told them it would make it uncomfortable every time I saw them. I usually turn up my tv or sleep with the radio on. Don't have to worry about the making love part because I timed the bed squeeking once and it only lasted 2 minutes.

Hmm that is a tough one. I guess just bang on the floor or yell shut up! Thats what I would do when I lived in an apartment.

OR you can go knock on there door and explain it to them... hmm.

Hi there! I would let them know next time I see them what you can hear. This will probably embarrass them into quitting, or at least toning it down some. If it is still bothersome, then I would go to your apartment manager and tell them what is going on, and maybe they can leave a note on their door. Good luck!!

That's kinda tough. I would say maybe approach them and let them know that you can hear through the walls you dont have to say you have hear them "loving each other". Tell them you can hear their t.v. or something. I know that will be embarassing but that's is something you may have to do. If you dont want to do that maybe try to rearrange your bed so that you cant hear them. Good Luck.

Knock on the wall loudly when its happening. I have the same problem with the people upstairs, and I take a broom handle to the ceiling. They are usually so embarassed that they stop and it doesnt happen nearly as often as it used to.

bang twice on the wall. If that doesn't work, next morning when you see your neighbors, say something about their love making that will emberace them. Like "Are you trying to have kids, or it was Viagra night last night?" but make it sound sarcastic so they wont be offended.

yeah, its only hot when you WANT to hear it. Like if they dont know...you hear them anyway...well tough situation. You can tell them to try to tone it down, then get a box fan, turn it up all the way and drown out the noise.

better yet, everytime they do it interrupt them in the middle of it and tell them to knock it off.

ring at the door at midnight (or whenever they are so loud) till they open and then say you can`t sleep because somebody`s crying. when they are nice, they stop to make love at this time or they do it slower. if not, call the police!
