You know how it is when you meet someone and they just seem to be significant to your life. There is someone i know who i've been attracted to for 16 years, since primary school. We were close and something almost happened with us, but timing was wrong, we went our separate ways. Everytime we meet there is an electrifying attraction between us, but we both now have partners. For years i've had dreams where we are holding eachother. My latest one was where we were standing opposite eachother and we kissed. I said no because of our partners and we just talked to eachother about how we felt. It was so real. Were our souls meeting in the dream? I cant explain it fully. I love my boyfriend, but why do i think of the other so often. Many things have happened that make me feel so strongly about this, but there is not enough space. Its like he's my first love and i've never stopped. When i dont think of him, a dream provokes me and my feelings come back. Is the spirit world pushing me to him?

I believe we may have multiple soulmates in life and may not be intended to live our lives with them.

I find it's best to let those parts of life play out as they will.

Hanging on to the fantasy keeps you from fully engaging in your current life. It's easier to believe in some visceral connection with someone else as being the reason you feel a void now. The conesquences of initiating a relationship with the friend aren't being considered seriously enough in your fantasy. Reality would look much different. I would shrug it off as a childish fantasy, or investigate the possibility that your current relationship just "doesn't do it" for you -- for other reasons.

The spirit world may be involved. But do you think that if you left your boyfriend that the other will work out? As there have been many years, and people do change some. In my observing thing like this, it seems that the spirit world is trying to do negative things, not good.

IF you want my advice, here it is. Yes, I know what it is like to keep going back to one person and THINK you want to be with them. Yes, I know what it is like to have fantasies about someone else while I am with another. And, through the pain and wondering where I am supposed to be, I have come to realize a few things. 1. You could be with anyone, love anyone whom you feel is worthy of your love. BUT, will that person love you back as you love them? And the way you love them? 2. Patience is absolutely a virtue, but I don't suggest leading anyone on either. If you feel that attracted to someone THAT MUCH, don't stay with your boyfriend and tell him you love him, or, honestly, talk it over with him if you think he is understanding enough. Trust is key here. 3. There are people we will always wonder what it would be like to be with them. Trash those thoughts, they aren't worth your time or energy. It brings you to a place that is very alone, especially in marriage.

Ultimately, pray about it and God will lead you to the one you are supposed to be with. (Not joking, I have some amazing stories) Be patient, concentrate on the things you are doing NOW that will impact your future. You will be much more satisfied later on, knowing you let things play out instead of planning and doing it on your own.

Has he ever expressed any romantic feelings towards you? Most men will let you know in some way that they are interested. You've known him 16 years. This may just be your fantasy towards him, and not mutual feelings. Stop guessing and ask him. If he's interested, then pursue it.

The problem with most girls is that they can never forget their first love. We are constrained in our life with marriage ,children.societal norms. Hence we do not openly admit such relationship. However we feel it in our heart of hearts. So it nothing unusual. However these are mirage kind of relationship and nothing will ever come out of it.

All this soul mate business is the witchcraft of the devil. Ignore it before you get yourself trapped into a relationship that you will regret.
