Life is the striving to find happiness and what ever goal you may have set. For many the need in life is to have family, children, a good job, staying healthy and taking care of the family. Working like a dog is just something we most likely have to endure inorder to achieve our goals.
Keeping ones health is also important to reaching what we want in life, bad health is only going to keep us from it.
You sound depressed and maybe you should talk to a professional person about your outlook on life or if you are religious, see your pastor, priest etc.
But don't let your self become so depressed that you will not be able to function normally and destroy what could and should be a happy time on this earth. Nothing is perfect but we can strive for perfection with out letting it get us down and depressed.

Health is wealth.

It's an old saying, and one that suffers from being overexposed, and thus largely ignored.

Your body is an incredible machine, designed perfectly to help you survive. But like all machines, it needs to be taken care, have regular checks, and be fed the right fuel.

There are three states that your body lives in, simulataneously...
Physical (which involves body parts and movement)
Mental (which includes brain, processing power and intelliegence)
Emotional (which includes instinct and feelings)

To keep these balanced, is to be healthy.

Exercise, eat well, and sleep on time so your physical self is in top shape. Read, debate, discuss and explore options, so that your mental well bring is taken care of. And spent time doing nothing, watch a flower, take a walk, smile at someone, so you are always in touch with your emotions.

But when you rush around like a headless chicken, trying to be the best boss, best employee, rich guy etc etc, when you overdo any bit of your life, you are going against the biological design of your body. And by forcing it to cope, you are running it down. And when you run it down, all that money you earn will be spent in hospitals trying to patch it up.

Keep your natural state. Stay happy. And remember the old saying.

We have forgotten that the real need in life is mental peace. It can be achieved by good health only. We run after money and lose heath, then we try to improve health by spending money. At the end we have neither health nor money.

(due to your family, bills, bad habits of gambling, boozing, having paid sex......) than it would ne natural of you to loose your health. Work at your convenience. Work in a friendly atmosphere where people around you love you or are friendly to you. Eat good food, home made food during specific timmings.Sleep well.
It is true that as a male , until death, we have to earn to be the bread earner of the house.Earning for our family. In that lies our happiness and good health.

For some reason we were created / evolved to be social and help others. If you spend your life working and making money and not doing much else, yes your health suffers.
The happiest people in life are often those without money. Money doesn't make you happier. Once you realize that, you can enjoy life and others, and in result your health would probably be better.

The goal of human life is to realize the Almighty supreme Soul who is Omnipresent, Omniscient and All-pervading. Every Being has to undergo the destined happenings according to their thoughts and deeds. When one recognizes the universal soul in every creature and treats as one's own, the bliss is certain. Every soul enters a different body and takes birth according to the thoughts and deeds. If one maintains good intentions, only good entails. If one indulges in negative things, the opposite is sure to occur. The senses should be in full control to achieve the peace and bliss.
