I own an 2001 ford focus se, bought it used never had a problem with it. I have owned it for two and a half years and still running like a charm, very dependable in my opinion out last jap cars.
Have friends that own Honda's that are newer than my car, and they constantly have to take it in and get repairs done on them. Ford has been a favorite all my life, family owned fords and nothing else com-pairs. Do not care about what others feel, never ever have had a problem with a ford. Chevy's, dodges had to try them out they all broke down.

I've bought a 2000 Focus secondhand, and so far put about 25,000 miles on it. The only thing that's broken in that time has been the button in the parking brake handle, and I spent $30 to swap in a new handle myself. So far, it's been the most reliable car I have ever owned.

Fords are generally reliable cars and seeing as it runs really good I would say yes.

not really, its an American car, American cars are basically like disposable cameras, you use them until the warranty is up then trade em in, your best bet would be a Honda or Acura, those are the most reliable cars
