Where do you get the idea Christ was sinful?

Matthew 3:13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to the Jordan, unto John, to be baptized by him. 14 But John stayed him, saying: I ought to be baptized by thee, and comest thou to me?

How about:
(4) Jesus never sinned, but was baptized to 'fulfill all righteousness' (Matthew 3:15). If He hadn't, people would have charged Him with disobeying God, as the Pharisees did (Mark 11:30-33).

There was a curse placed on Jeconiah (Coniah), so that no descendant of his could ever rule on the throne of David in Judah. Jesus was a descenant of Coniah (Matthew 1:11-12), and so will never reign in Judah; He is now reigning in heaven, and will continue until He stops reigning and delivers His kingdom to God (1 Corinthians 15:24-26).

1) Wrong.

2) Wrong.

3) Wrong.

Sin is not part of God's nature, and as such it is an impossibility for Jesus, as well.

Any sin would have also brought an instant end and utter failure to Jesus' mission of redemption, as only a totally sinless man could have accomplished anything by his death.

Jesus did receive the power of the Holy Spirit at his baptism ... just as we all do ... because Jesus accomplished all that he did in ordinary human flesh, and by the power of God, just as we all do.

He just did it perfectly and sinlessly, according to the will of his Father, in heaven.

If he had sinned at all, even in the slightest, his Father would not have been able to truthfully state:

Mat 17:5 And as he was yet speaking, behold a bright cloud overshadowed them. And lo a voice out of the cloud, saying: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased: hear ye him.

And God doesn't lie, either!

Jesus was born sinless, that's why he was virgin born thru Mary's line thru David's son,Nathan, without a man so the sinful blood line wasn't passed on.He was baptized to identify with mankind, not because he was sinful ,but because he wanted to identify with us.That's why he went thru the temptations in the wilderness.Ther was no way he was going to give in but he could identify with the way we feel the pull of all those temptations.Jesus was sinless, perfect Lamb of God.He was a Lamb for sacrifice it didn't mean he was weak.By the way the reason he couldn't be born of Joseph was because of the curse on the line of Jeconiah,Luke shows he was born of Mary who was of David's other son Nathan not Solomon(Jeconiah's line)

not seeing your point? do you honestly think that Jesus got baptized to remove his sins? Didnt he tell John and those around him that it is proper to do this to fulfill all righteousness (Matt. 4) Do you think that all baptism is is forgiving your sins? Look at Acts 2:36-38, see how Peter descibes it. Out how about 1 Peter 3:21, is it only to forgive sins or it is a deep declaration of Faith towards Christ that ou get clothed with Christ when you do get baptized.

None of your points suggest Jesus was sinful. And God's Word said he was/is sinless. Jesus was born of a virgin, and therefore had no sinful nature. He had no genetic connection to Jeconiah. Take a Bible course or something, you need help.

Jesus was sinless, But he took my sins & Yes even your sins upon himself on the cross for us.When he was baptized he was sitting an example for us to follow, & not to cleanse himself from sin.

Jesus is God---he is sinless. God is sinless. God is unchangeable. Jessi is the same yesterday and today and forever. You do not know the Bible, so stop quoting scripture out of context. If you hate Christians, then say so and get off the Net. Jesus loves you.

Jesus is without sin. He is pure. Hence the term white as snow in relation to Jesus.

Sorry, I'm misunderstanding your question. Are you giving us a multiple choice up there? And, from what bible are you reading? My bible says that Jesus was baptized to fulfill all righteousness, NOT to be forgiven for sins. Don't get it twisted, dude. :o)
