My ex is starting to look good. Nothing was wrong with our relationship, I just wanted my freedom. Now I don't mind whether I have it or not since I'm in a very good place now.
And I also feel uncomfortable around his friends. They're good ppl but in ways, they're a bad influence. He use to do drugs and he's kind of afflicted 'cos of his past and I could never really understand him 'cos I've had a good life.
Other than that, I really really like him. Now what? Should I talk to him again? I know for sure he still likes me very much but is staying away from me 'cos I asked him too.

Ask urself why u broke up in the first place, revisit the past briefly. How long has it been since then?DO u really think he's changed(my guess is no if he is still hanging with the same people) Or do u want him back cause u are a bit lonely, and dont want another girl reap the benefits of his new gorgeousness? I say be friends, and if it becomes something, ok, but dont TRY to make it something. He's ur ex, move on, move on with something new. He's probably ur ex for good reason.

Sometimes people need a break from a relationship, but the risk they take when they do this is losing that person. It is good that you decided that you wanted to get to a good place in your life, and if leaving him was something you had to do well it was something you had to do.
If you now feel you are ready for a commitment and this is the person that you want to be with, you have to talk to him. Tell him the reasons why you left and tell him how you feel now. If he is ok with this, and he still has feelings for you like he said, then you can build a new relationship. If not then you knew it was a chance you were taking when you left him the first time.
But you are also going to have to except him, his past, his friends and all.

yes you need to just move on and stay away from this guy when somethings happen in our lives they happen for a reason and that was your reason to leave him alone
