It is possible you have an allergic reaction, or perhaps you are overly sensitive to the fumes. All alcoholic drinks have a degree of fumes that collect in your mouth before you swalloe, this is the reason why strong drinks cause people to cough or choke if they aren't used to it, you appear particulary sensitive.

Your symptoms are unique. The symptoms you complain of occur to many people, a day after or two days after taking alcohol. Because alcohol debilitates body's immune system and people are susceptible to get affected by viral infections a day after or so. Alcohol when taken makes vessel dilate immediately and your breathing is supposed to be free and no airway obstruction will happen to make you sneeze unless you have already some cold running continuously or you have a history of allergic conditions and reactions to some substances taken along with alcohol like some citrus fruits or food of particular variety.

I agree with the first dude. Give up the coke & you will see a totally new you in the mirror in the morning. Hope your mum is not on the coke too. If she is you both need serious help. Check out with the hospitals if you can get a 2 for 1 detox offer. They are very slow this time of year coming up to christmas so you might get lucky. Best of luck with the withdrawls.

My husband is the same. Alcohol blocks his nose for about 24 hours afterwards. It does not stop him from having a drink though.

It does this to me as well my friend, sometimes when i exit the pub i start to sneeze uncontrollably for no apparent reason,
I am told it is a reaction to the beer but i drink all different kinds and still get this reaction, i have tried anti histamines and they don't work, I do not have any problems with my health at all except for this,, my eyes stream and go all blood shot(not pleasant when your trying to pull)
don't know the answer my friend but i have shared the experience..
good luck

May be you should avoid all alcoholic drinks coz it looks like you are both allergic to it. Or see a doctor.

Your nose is getting drunk along with your brain and the rest of your body, so it doesn't work as well as when you don't drink . :)
