Kaadbear gave you the link !!

And although I spent 15 yrs in the Navy... I will agree with Johhny Drama about the Enlisted Dress Uniform (Cracker Jacks)... GAWD I hated those things; especially the summer dress whites!

What are YOU interested in qbanita01? Are you mechanically adept ? Want to work in an office situation ? What civilian career do you have or are hoping to have ?

I served as an AW (Aviation Anti-Submarine Warfare Operator)... I picked that RATE because I wanted to fly, and it was the only job that is guaranteed to fly !! I also grew up in the vicinity of a West Coast ASW base.

What would I have picked otherwise ? Perhaps Data Systems, Aircraft Maintenence, or Journalist... because I could have turned THOSE skills into a great civilian career.

Whatever you pick... enjoy your time in Uncle Sam's Canoe Club !! Gather ALL the education you can.

Go Navy, BEAT ARMY !!

Get a career that you can use in civilian life, that pays well. The navy recruiter will have a list of whats available. Make your best deal, don't be afraid to go for the big schools, difficult MOS training.

Join the Air Force. It's a lot easier and you don't have to wear the Cracker Jack outfits.
