The WHA is an organization that is planning on televising "hunting" of whitetails within a high fence facility with the use of tranquilizers guns. They plan to then weigh the deer and measure the horns before rehabilitating the deer before returning them to their fenced in the area. The contestant, there are 8 so called hunters, who gets the biggest deer wins.

By the way, I am an avid hunter. I hunt with, rifle, shotgun, blackpowder, and bow. I strongly support ethical hunting though. We should not turn the whitetails into circus animals.

I have sent my message....this just sickens me...It only gives the anti-hunting people more ammo to use...
Hunters have to deal with so much crap from them anyway. There are many good ethical hunters out there...if people start to see this kind of thing on TV they will assume all of us are like that....contrary to what Slim_hick said...we as true hunters have to stand up to this kind of thing....we have to be able to show people that we value true hunting and not the crap some people try and call hunting...if we do nothing we will only strengthen the stand that all hunters are that way.

I understand your concern, as I am a bow-hunter myself. But I think you should not bring a subject such as this up. As you will only draw out ignorant individuals, such as SWEET COOKIE, who seek any edge in banning hunting. As hunters we must stand together, even when we don't agree with each other completely. There are too many of these animal loving wackos, for us to separated ourselves. Some people have forgotten their heritage and we need to be strong to protect the heritage that we remember so well.
As for your answer, I agree that this is not the way it should be done. But I will not stand on my opinion. as it will separated the hunting community. Leaving us half as strong, while the wackos get stronger.

Dear Mr David Farbman.
In this day and age, there is no practical need
for people to hunt animals, for meat / furs etc
Hunting animals is a BARBARIC "sport"...
and has no place in civilised society.
If the statement below is correct , can you give me any real valid reason why, this cruel and inhumane treatment of wild animals is found to be necessary?
sincerely
Susan Willis

As fellow hunters we need to band together and stand up for our rights to hunt, Even if you do not approve of the method of hunting. If it's a legal means of hunting don't discourage that mean. Hunting is hunting! Do not help the tree huggers like sweet cookie. her quote"Hunting animals is a BARBARIC "sport"...
and has no place in civilised society." I guess she would like to see the animals die out and disease themselves to death and rid the place we call earth of our nature!

Why?
The commission is named David Farbman????????
Who is the us and who is the them and exactly what are you trying to stop??????
Your question is most unclear and raises more questions rather than invites any answers!! Think clearly, write complete thoughts and ask with succinct clarity. There still may be time to get answers.

but i want to know how you would mount a tranquilized animal on your wall? would you have to continually tranquilize it and feed it with an IV? yeah i know that sounds stupid, but its just a ignorant as drugging animals for sport. we hunt for food. we enjoy the trophy and sport that goes along with it but it is primarily for food. drugging animals for sport if highly unethical and should be outlawed. david farbman should be prosecuted for cruelty to animals.
