Would it be easier for you to believe in God if he performed some sort of miracle for you that you wanted?

Like myself for example:

If Kate Bosworth came up to me and said "God sent me here to do you!" I would say "This is a miracle! I believe in God now!"

If he flew Johnny Depp to me in a firey chariot, I would have no choice but to believe and accept his gift with love. But, I'd feel better if he was in the image of the FSM when dropped Johnny off at my house.

I don't need a God to preform a miracle to prove anything to me. All I have to do is look around and see the wonders of humans and this earth and know that that is a miracle in itself no matter who or what made or put it into existence.

Maybe you and the other Christians need the miracles to believe that your life is more than you give yourselves credit for but I don't need cheap tricks to believe that I am a good moral person.

"He [Don Novello as Father Guido Sarducci] talked about Father Junipero Serra's qualifications for sainthood: 'They say he cured a nun's lupus.  A miracle. Now I'm not a doctor, but I know lupus goes into remission. It's not always fatal. Have Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder play ping-pong together.  Now, THAT would be a miracle." ~ Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle, 2 February 1989

It's as simple as showing up. Though Kate Bosworth would also be pretty convincing.

It would have to be something spectacular, like an Clone Army of Hello Kittys materializing over Washington DC and start beating people over the head with Bibles.

man you got a good point but i dont think atheist would really start believing in god with that kind of thing they would want god to come down here himself or herself and say "hey i am here for ya bud" that is the one and only true way a atheist would believe in god or goddess which ever a person wants to believe in.

p.s. i am a spiritualist

No, it would not be easier because there is always a 50/50 chance that something good or out of the ordinary will happen to you. Good question.

No, that's still pretty vague. I'd like to maybe see it face to face or some other thing like having every living being on Earth hear it's voice at the same exact time.

I'm not sure who to ask for - it used to be Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise, but they've both lost their marbles. OK, lets try brains instead of beauty, "God, send me Richard Dawkin". I'll let you all know when Richard arrives so we can all praise the Lawd together.

If a bush burst into flames in front of me, I would believe, as long as I get to choose the Bush.
